STAY FIT STUDIO TO HOST CHARITY FUND RAISER.

Supporting the community is something Stay Fit Studio believes in. On Saturday November 13 they will feature a charity event in support of the upcoming SMART RIDE 7.

In order to help raise money for several riders participating in Smart Ride 7, Stay Fit Studio will host a 2 hour double spin fund raiser.  The fund raiser is scheduled for Saturday November 13, 4-6pm at Stay Fit Studio, 804 White Street. “We are asking members of Stay Fit and anyone in the community to “buy a bike” and donate any contribution for a group of riders participating in The Smart Ride, said Warren Benjamin, co-owner of Stay fit Studio. All money raised will go directly to a group of riders in The Smart Ride as they have a pledge amount they must reach.”

The group of riders, known as the Keys Kruisers, have been staging fund raisers in Key West in support of the several HIV/AIDS organizations throughout Florida.  Rider rep Clinton Curry and other team members have staged several events in hopes of reaching their financial goal. “Stay Fit will be our last fund raiser before The Smart Ride and we thank them for their support.”

Members of the community can call Stay Fit at 294-0693 and reserve a bike for the Saturday event.  The two hour spin will be followed by a post-party for everyone to attend.  Stay Fit Studio is located at 804 White Street.

Holiday Lights Bike Tour

On Wednesday, December 16th, the Bicycle Action Committee of Key West, Fl sponsored a Holiday Lights Bike Tour.  Over twenty cyclists came out for a leisurely ride through town, beginning at the Key West Bight next to the Half Shell Raw Bar.  After going over the route we headed out to tour the town.  Two miles into the ride we stopped at StayFit Studio for some holiday refreshments (non-alcoholic) and goodies.  A big THANK YOU to the ownership of StayFit for supporting the ride.

A stop at StayFit Studio on White Street.

From here, we continued towards Bayview Park for a photo opportunity at the City of Key West’s Holiday lights display.

Holiday cheer for everyone!

As you can tell, everyone had a wonderful time.  Locals and visitors to the island came out for what was a beautiful night in Key West, Fl.  We rode for about an hour and a half, covering a little over 7 miles on the island.  Thank you to everyone who came out.  Hope more of you are able to attend the next ride on Wednesday, December 23rd.  We are meeting at the Key West Bight at 6:30pm.  Click on the Photo Gallery page for additional pictures.
