The SMART Ride 6 pictures are coming in. Click on the photo gallery link above to take a look. I will be adding more soon!
Well, SMART Ride 6 is less than a week away. Tomorrow, January 3rd is the last group training ride before myself and many other riders embark on an amazing two day cycling event, that will not only test our mental and physical capabilites, but will show what a positive impact a small group of people can have assisting those in need.
As a participant, I am proud to say that 100% of the money I have raised and continue to with your help will go to benefiting HIV/AIDS Service Organizations. In the past 5 years, a cumulative of 10 riding days, more than 825 miles ridden, The SMART Ride has raised and returned more than $1.75 Million, a full 100% of what the participants have raised. So far for SMART Ride 6, I have raised close to $800.00 towards my participant requirement minimum of $1250.00. That money was raised with the assistance and generosity of The Bike Shop and Barrett Printing by helping me sponsor a Kids Bike Raffle.
Please help me reach and exceed my goal of $1250.00, by visiting SMART Ride 6 Pledge. I am Rider #388.
Thank you for your support and generosity. Please make sure to check back for updates and pictures of the event. Believe me, there will be plenty of pictures in the Photo Gallery. Remember, stay safe and drinks lots of water.

The bike raffle for The SMART Ride 6 was a success in many ways. Besides nearly raising $800.00 towards my $1250.00 minimum for the SMART Ride, the two winners of the bikes from The Bike Shop gave the bikes to children in need. That was some great Christmas spirit. I want to take this moment to thank everyone for your support and generosity. Remember, that 100% of what I raise towards the SMART Ride goes towards AIDS Awareness Organizations. I learned from this event, which I am sure, will only help me make the next one even better.
I am still in the process of fundraising for the SMART Ride, if you would like to make a donation please click on the following link. The link will take you directly to the SMART Ride pledge page (rider 388).
Thank you for your continued support and generosity.
This year, I have chosen to hold a raffle in order to reach my fundraising goal, which is to exceed the more than required $1250. I can only do this with your help. With the generosity of The Bike Shop on Truman & Varela, I have chosen to hold a raffle for a Boy’s and Girl’s 20 inch bike. A maximum of 75 tickets for each bike will be offered at $10.00 per ticket. All of the money collected from the raffle will go towards my minimum required $1250. The raffle will take place on December 22, 2009 at 5pm at The Bike Shop. It is also with the generosity of Barrett & Company Printing on Flagler Ave that I am able to offer this raffle.
Even if you or your family may not need one of these bikes, please consider that you may know someone who does and should you win, wouldn’t that bike be a great surprise for a boy or girl.
For more information on the raffle, please do not hesitate to call me at 305-747-0099 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to make a pledge online for Rider #388 please click here.
